Two senior high school students died in a motorcycle crash in Pagadian City.

A tragic accident in Pagadian City occurred when a motorcycle collided into a house, resulting the loss of two senior high school students from Zamboanga del Sur National High School.

They were riding a motorcycle with a male classmate named Shane Stanley D. Abrea while the young two girls who loss their lives are Teffanie Dawn M. Saipudin and Jonalyn B. Oliva.

Investigation revealed that the motorcycle was negotiating a downward slope when the brakes failed, resulting in a collision with a residence owned by Jona Sadrino.

CCTV footage captured the moment of impact, where the fatalities struck their heads against a door jamb.

Notably, Abrea managed to regain consciousness following the crash.

The school principal Valeriano M. Barte released an official statement :

“It is with profound sorrow that we share the tragic news of an accident involving three of our grade 11 students on August 1, 2025, at around 3:28 PM in Barangay Balintawak, Pagadian City.

“Unfortunately, we mourn the loss of two young lives, Teffanie Dawn M. Saipudin and Jonalyn B. Oliva, while a male student, Shane Stanley D. Abrea, is currently receiving medical treatment for his injuries.

“Our hearts and thoughts are with the families, friends, and relatives who are profoundly affected by this tragic event.

“We urge our ZSNHS Community to offer prayers for the eternal repose of the souls of Teffanie Dawn and Jonalyn and the fast recovery of Shane Stanley.

“Together, we stand with the bereaved families during this incredibly challenging time.” he added.
