Klea Pineda has finally denied rumors involving Janella Salvador in her recent breakup with her long-time girlfriend, Katrice Kierulf.
The rumor originated from certain online users who have been sharing photographs and videos of Klea and Janella appearing excessively affectionate and sweet.
During a brief interview at the GMA Gala 2025, Klea shuts down third-party rumors that Janella was responsible for the alleged breakup.
“Oh yeah, of course, I’m aware sa nangyayari but sinasabi ko, ako na nagsasabi mismo sa inyo na walang third party na nangyari,” she clarified.
The actress revealed that her close friendship with Janella began with their collaborative work on the Cinemalaya film “Open Endings.”
“Yung closeness namin ni Janella inevitable siya kasi magkasama kami sa film. So, kaming apat sa film, si Jasmine, si Leanne, si Janella and me, yung closeness namin talagang nadevelop during shooting days namin,” Klea explained.

Klea Pineda confirmed her separation from her girlfriend, Katrice Kierulf, after three years of their relationship.
On her Instagram post on Friday, July 18, Pineda expressed gratitude for the brief time she and Kierulf had together.
Klea shared : “Maiksing panahon binigay sa atin pero masasabi ko na naging masaya ako sa tatlong taon ng buhay ko na yun kasama ka.
“Yes, Kat and I decided to end our relationship. Masakit, mahirap. Masyadong maganda ang samahan namin, Pakiramdam ko parang hindi lang tatlong taon yung samahan namin sa dami ng nangyari.
“Kadamay ko siya sa lungkot, nandyan siya sa tabi ko pag masaya, kasama ko siya sa gitna ng kaguluhan, at higit sa lahat siya yung taong minahal ako sa mga panahon na hindi ko kayang mahalin ang sarili ko. Naging inspirasyon at lakas ko sa mga laban sa buhay.”
The Kapuso star expressed gratitude to the supporters who witnessed the development of their relationship and her family who embraced Kierulf as their own.
She clarified that despite their efforts to maintain their love, it really isn’t working out anymore.
