Who is Marlou Arizala?
Marlou Arizala, who was initially a member of the parody boy band Hasht5, gained immense popularity on social media in 2015. However, he also faced severe cyberbullying due to his physical appearance.
Tired of being mocked and yearning for showbiz success, Marlou resolved to undergo cosmetic surgery to alter the world’s perception of him.
The first surgery.
On September 4, 2017, Marlou underwent a six-hour procedure at Marikina Doctors Hospital under general anesthesia. The procedure involved rhinoplasty (nose lifting) using cartilage from his ear and chin augmentation with a silicone implant.
Dr. Samuel Eric C. Yapjuangco, also known as Doc Yappy of The Icon Clinic, performed the surgery.
After his initial recovery, Arizala underwent several non-surgical procedures, including dental veneers (ceramic) on his front teeth, eyebrow thickening, permanent lip tinting, anti-wrinkle treatments, and eyelash extensions.

On October 1, 2017, Marlou made a bold statement on the TV show Rated K, revealing his new look and rebranding himself as Xander Ford. He declared, “Marlou is dead.”
He emphasized that despite the changes in his appearance, his fundamental identity remained unchanged, he stated : “Itong nasa harapan ninyo, binago ko lang siya sa pangalan at ‘yung pagkatao lang… ‘yung panlabas lang…”
