Comedian Vice Ganda is now facing criticism for mocking DDS fans during his and Regine Velasquez’s concert ‘Super Divas’.

Vice Ganda’s Duterte joke.
During the Vice Ganda and Regine Velasquez concert held on August 8 and 9 at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City, the comedian made a joke about the Dutertes.
Vice jokingly said : “Nothing beats a jet ski holiday, right now from Manila to the West Philippine Sea via jetski.
“Get unlimited water bombing from Chinese vessels and a free trip to The Hague by the ICC (International Criminal Court).
“Promo applies to DDS only. Pinklawans and BBMs are prohibited. Huwag niyo akong subukan, mga pu****i** niyo,” Vice added.
What enraged DDS fans?
The DDS (Diehard Duterte Supporters) expressed their belief that the situation unfolding with the former president should not be taken lightly or treated as a joke.
While Vice’s fans were thrilled with his performance at Regine’s concert, many, particularly Duterte’s supporters, known as DDS, were disappointed and had a negative experience.
They urged Vice to be cautious of “karma” because the Duterte family has not done anything wrong to him.
DDS fan said : “super yabang na talaga nitong Vice na ‘to, bahala na karma sayo. it’s time to unfollow him.”
Vice’s follower count plummeted.
After Vice made a joke about the Dutertes during their concert, his followers on his Facebook page immediately dropped.
If we look back, the comedian simply celebrated because his Facebook page had achieved 20 million followers on August 8th this year.
However, Vice lost thousands of his followers today after making a joke about Duterte at his concert. As of now, he has lost merely 50,000+ followers.
Why celebrities losses followers because of jokes?
Some celebrities’ jokes can lead to a loss of followers because humor is subjective.
In the age of social media, even a single comment can be amplified and scrutinized, potentially resulting in a decline in followers.
